First She's an old workhorse. 1987 hardbody with 380K mostly troublefree miles, and should probably be put out to pasture.
So here's the deal. When I go out and about it starts fine, runs OK, then as i get further from home it starts to drop cylinders. The last time I couldn't get it home without a tow.
It's getting fuel cuz I can smell it as I try to restart it. It's got spark otherwise it wouldn't start, right?
So I'm thinking something with the feul air mix? Choke? This is where I throw up my hands and park it.
I guess I'm looking for simple area to trouble shoot before I take it to the pros. If this is something major then I'll just save my $$ and retire it for parts.
Any ideas.
