Hello guys and gals,

Im new to the forums and in desperate need of help. Im doing a timing belt change on a 98 Nissan Pathfinder 3.3 v6 and ran in to a snag. I try to put the new timing belt on as per the Chilton, but it wont go. Seems like the belt is to tight. I can get it around the crank and the left cam but not around the right cam sprocket? And if I do get it around the both cams they move a tiny bit. I reset everything back to the notches. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

this may seem a bit dumb, but have you checked to be certain that it is the correct belt?

I believe so. I matched them side by side and they seem to be identical.

well, if its the right belt, its just going to be a matter of jamming it on...
