I have a 1985 300 ZX Turbo that makes a loud thump from right rear when I hit the slightest bump. I beleave I have a shock problem. These shocks are the electronic adjustable type and have been told they cost $1600/pair. Are these shocks serviceable? Have I overlooked another simple cause for problem?

They don't make the electronic kind anymore. They were pretty much useless anyways. Go buy a pair of manual adjustashocks for less than 100 dollars

+1 you will be fine with normal manual shocks unless you really want the electronic ones you can try the nissan dealer but dont hold your breath you might get lucky with a auto salvage yard but you probably wont find any but it wouldnt hurt to try.
