anybody know about any problems with an oil leak on a 200 sx. It is around the belt and alternator. I think it loses most when driving it. It is shooting on the belt and getting all over I can't pinpoint it. But it is there. the car has 120000 miles it is 2.0L anything something. let me know thanks tim

You might want to check your valve cover gasket. you might need a new gasket and most probably that will be the problem...

where your talking about i would imagine its the v/c gasket, if so when changing it put paper towels in the plug holes to soak up the oil that is going to leak out then removing/replacing it.

not sure if the 2.0 is the same as the 1.6 but i had 2 1.6 engines with what sounds like the same leak. it was the crankshaft seal behind the harmonic balancer. had a heck of a time diagnosing it tho. i purchased a ultraviolet leak detecter fron jc whitney and found it easy then. the first car i had the leak on i think i may of caused it by tightening the belt to tight. let us know what happens.
