I have a 1985 truck with a carb motor, 8 plug 4 cyl that has a rod knocking. I would like to put a later model 4 cyl 4 plug motor in it. Will my carb and intake bolt up to the fuel inj. head???????????????. would like to do this because of no computer on 1985 for fuel inj.

If a rod is knocking i'd check out the rod bearings, they not expensive or hard to put in. new engine will be pricy.are you trying to keep it carb ir planning to go Fi? my frind is droppin sr20det in an 84 720 pickup. it fits nice, in shop now for wiring.
