I am a very short person, 5'1 to be honest. I recently purchase a 99 Altima, 5 speed. Well in order for me to push the clutch in all the way I have to pull the seat up extremely close to the steering wheel. I am too close to the brake and accelerator and dangerously close to the steering wheel if I was involved in a wreck. I am looking for some sort of build up to on the clutch to move it closer to me so I can move my seat back and sit at a safer distance from the steering wheel. If anybody has any ideas or can help..please let me know.

My mother had the same problem in a Chevy Nova we once had.
My dad attached a block of (wood, I think) cut to be the same size as the pedal. I can't remember if it was something he bought, or made, but I believe it was bolted on... the most secure way to do something like that.
Since safety is even MORE of an issue nowadays, I might recomend you search JC Whitney... as well as some other sites... for an approved pedal extension. Certainly they exist.
Here is a link to JC Whitney anyway... good luck to you.
