TIA Patrick 04-18-2005, 09:31 PM does it have the 260hp engine? im not sure if NISMO makes an intake or exhaust for your car, but i woudl check into those items... nf101 04-19-2005, 02:56 AM 260 horsepower 3.5 litre DOHC V6 engine, 6-speed manual Thanks Patrick... I'll certainly take a look around for those items... ntxmotorsports 04-19-2005, 03:20 AM Stillen (http://www.stillen.com/sportscars.asp) may have some stuff. WheelBrokerAng 04-19-2005, 03:44 AM Hi nf101... OBX Racing has a few items for your car..if interested, e-mail me and I can help you find things for your MAX... WheelBrokerAng local://upfiles/17/A652FB88AB9D4C008BD7D3C88C91C3CF.jpg Patrick 04-19-2005, 04:07 PM im sure that any of the major intake companies will make something, but i know that NISMO makes stuff for the sentra and altima..so i woudl think that they woudl have stuff for their flagship! Soaring 04-23-2005, 11:24 AM Just by simply using a K&N air filter will make a difference. The turbo will spool up sooner. And, they can be cleaned and used again, unlike paper filters. Patrick 04-23-2005, 07:06 PM there is no turbo on the new maximas.... polartsunami 04-23-2005, 10:18 PM well what type of mods do you want to do? do you want performance or do you want jdm body mods? i can give you all kinds fo links to both. i would say the first thing that i would go for since you have an awsome engine is to give it a lower profile, lower the sucker. it will help you handle the car better while controlling the 200+ hp. Patrick 04-23-2005, 11:33 PM i dont know...i think alot of the Max's sit nicely..and the newest ones have those big 18s tucked under, i dont think they give much room for dropping.. polartsunami 04-23-2005, 11:37 PM that is a pretty good point, but they still do have some gap. another suggestion would be to get a front lip or something to style your car. Soaring 04-24-2005, 02:41 PM Ok, but you still are helping it to breathe better. polartsunami 04-24-2005, 02:48 PM i agree, but the new maximas dont have a real bad porblem with breathing either. if youve driven one they actually sound like they have an intake on them. it is nice. but every piece will count towards making it run better. i say with a strong engine then i would start with the body to make it a little different, it pieces start to rack up alot of money so get the big things out of the way first, exhaust and intake are what i would do second. just my .02 cents Patrick 04-25-2005, 12:41 PM i agree, start with simple bolt ons before you go huge...i dont do physical stuff until i have reached the point where i am happy with performance... WheelBrokerAng 04-26-2005, 04:07 PM Your right Patrick...do the bolt on's 1st.. ORIGINAL: Patrick i agree, start with simple bolt ons before you go huge...i dont do physical stuff until i have reached the point where i am happy with performance... WheelBrokerAng[sm=bounceybounce.gif] ORIGINAL: nf101 260 horsepower 3.5 litre DOHC V6 engine, 6-speed manual Thanks Patrick... I'll certainly take a look around for those items... Patrick 04-26-2005, 05:20 PM how does the length compare to the stock exhaust manifold for exhaust fitment? WheelBrokerAng 04-28-2005, 03:41 AM Evening Patrick.. In Answer to your Question...The headers will bolt up to the OEM Down Pipe or to a Cat Back System (just happen to have that also) without modifications. I will post a picture of these soon as I can... WheelBrokerAng Patrick 05-02-2005, 12:59 PM wow...ive never seen headers on a newer maxima...do you know what it does for the sound? esdsix 03-05-2006, 05:45 AM Send me anything on performance enhancements for 97SE. Also, I need to replace my boost sensor. It went out on me recently. Can I use Aftermarket boost sensors as a replacement? What do you know about those? This is what I found of interest to my nearing investment http://www.jscspeed.com/index.html?/univ/boostcontroller.htm http://www.jscspeed.com/index.html?/univ/boostcontroller.htm Lemme know if you know of anything better.. Ive already gotten the intake done...But my boost sensor being dead is killing my power and gas....So, I will go for the knock sensor too just to be safe even though EC pulled on boost... Thanks! i8avet 10-08-2006, 03:27 AM Jet chip can remap your ECU for around $300. The problem with bolt ons is a stock ECU will try to compensate for the extra power and put your car basically back to stock. Intake, exhaust, cams, ect are detuned by a stock ecu. The reflash makes a huge difference. |
