I have an Elgrand E51 2002. My problems started two weeks ago when it lost power. It has had exhausted checked including catalytic converters, spark plugs changed, air filter changed, fuel is running perfectly, no faults with systems diagnostics. Everything seems fine but still no power, engines runs but no guts.

I have been told that the ECU needed to be changed and now that it needs to be initialised/ reprogrammed, is that right?? Some said that maybe it can do it itself by following some sort of pre programmed sequence like pressing brake pedal or turning wipers on five times etc. Can any help?? Does anyone know what this problem might be???
