1987 nissan 300zx non/turbo
 

while driving i smell a funny odor i think carbon and my car loses all power i pump the petal a few times and it does a back fire and starts going again the harder i push on the gas petal the more it wants to die it goes away but now its happening every day

I think the clutch is burning...
