1987 Nissan Pathfinder help????
 

Alright so yes ive googled the problem cant seem to turn up anything. I have an 87 pathfinder with a z24 in it and a 5 speed tranny. I bought the truck a little while ago and it already had these problems. So i start up the motor, no problems, itll warm up at like 1100 rpm go down to 900 and rough idle. I have to feather the gas to keep it running at first until it warms up. Once its warmed up i take off and it runs and shift like a dream. Once i slow down and try to come to a stop the motors rpms drop from a 1000 to nothing quick and it stalls. Again in order to stop it i have to feather the gas. So my question is can someone help me??? Its really frustrating i cant seem to figure this out.

does it run smoothly? if yes, the rpm is not reliable.

Itll run and drive wonderfu. l managed to stop the stalling by adjusting the idle screw on the throttle body but it still idles around 1000 but it likes to fluctuate alot and is a very ruff idle if it goes below that.
