I need help trying to figure out why the truck is hard to start on cold days and idles rough. I don't know if it's a vacuum problem or maybe my mixture heater needs to be replaced. can anyone help. I might add that after it warms up it run fine.

 

I have a 1995 ram turbo cummins 5.9L. very hard starting from cold. intake heater was NOT working bad sensor. i replaced it with nissan Canada. Now the intake heater comes on. checked ground wire too OK. will not start 1/4 pedal down. 70 deg or 40 deg. petal to the floor and it will start and sounds like a miss and loads of white smoke. then it will idle fine.. funny thing after 1 or 2 mins of running it will restart fine
