1990 200sx gearbox.
 

Have a problem with the gearbox jamming in reverse. If the vehicle is moving it tends to dissengage no problem.
I have the gearbox out and removed from the housing. No apparent problems appear to be visible. Any ideas. Thanks

Did a bit of experimenting and found the problem.
Locating pins for the 5th gear/reverse sincro ring were in the wrong way.
They are offset so the long slender tail goes towards 5th gear syncro.

Stay away from nissan maximas and if in the new york area, do not purchase vehicles from nemet motors in hillside queens, they do not know how to do business or work with their customers.
