1990 Nissan 4 cyl Hardbody transmission swap
 

[align=left]I have a 1990 Nissan pickup,4 cyl,automatic OD transmission.Transmission has gone bad,how much trouble would it be to put in a 5 speed tranny from a 1987 4cyl truck?Will the wiring be a problem?

well the swap should be straight forward,wiring shouldn't be a problem,but the od light may stay on.or the motors the same?you may want to get the 5 spd trans mount though,just in case the AT don't work.good luck

you will need the the manual trans mount, possible drive shaft, clutch pedal, clutch master, clutch hardlines, cut the auto brake pedal for room for the clutch pedal, the manual flywheel and starter and new clutch, im not 100% sure if they have the indentation on the firewall like the 240's but they should. if you need a auto tranny i have one that has 90k on it from my 98 240sx that came off my ka24de. $250 obo
