1999 maxima computer/security problem
I bought a 1999 maxima gle a couple of weeks ago, in barely running condition. I replaced 4 coils, and it was running on 5 cylinders. The computer had a bad driver for one of the coils, so I bought a replacement computer from a junk yard. I made sure that all of the numbers matched. I just got the computer today, and plugged it in and tried to start it. It just cranks. To be sure that it was in the computer, I put the old computer in, and it fired right up. I doubt that the new computer is bad, I believe that I have a security problem. Where do I go from here?
I forgot to mention: The starter does engage, it just wont start. With the key off, the security light blinks every couple of seconds. With the key on, the security light stays illuminated. |
I think the battery has gone damaged. check it with mechanic he should guide you much better. and the computer as gone damaged i think.

Well try with a different computer. and also the batteries might have gone dead. i would suggest you to take that near a mechanic who can fix it up for you.

I guess the computer didn't the program...try to ask for a technician that can see the compatibility of your computer to 1999 maxima gle, btw, did you bought a used car it won't happen if its a new one.

Sounds like something is fried. Try to reset the auto-tune parameters on the computer, and they need to be reset to a factory default. Not sure how you would do that, but maybe something worth looking into. Have you checked the fuses under the dash?

I'm trying to finish a worksheet or bonus points, but i don"t know how to answer this question: compute the maximum number of intersections of 17 straight lines. Can you please explain how this is done, along with the answe.
