88 sentra
 

i just purchased an 88 sentra 1.6 FI. it has been prepared as an SCCA ITC race car......my first outing was disappointing to say the least. i've raced other cars and classs for over 30 years but this one has me confused. the previous owner had the car looking great...but it just lacks any competitive speed...we ran 11 seconds slower than the firld average. the car bobbled slightly on hard right turns and just about everything we did to get any more from it failed.....the previous owner installed a K&N, header w/o an o2 sensor, .....engine has 180 psi comp, new t-belt, plugs, filters, etc....tried a new injector, adjusted timimg all over the board, removed any un neccessary emissions stuff....any suggestions or is this why u never see a sentra in ITC ?
