92 Pathfinder brake lights
 

Hello friends - Can anyone offer a suggestion on why the brake lights on my 92 Pathfinder wont go off even when the vehicle is turned off?

I have not looked on my 92, but on older cars the brake lights are activated by a switch on the firewall behind the brake pedal. If the pedal rest on the switch the brakes will stay on even when the vehicle is off. A way to check is to pull the brake pedal back and see if they go off. Maybe this will help.

It turns out that my stop light switch was ok but thr brake pedal itself was bad and not coming all the way back. Thanks for the info - It led me right to it.
