ball joint problem
 

I have a 1994 Nissan Pickup xe kingcab v6, and I was just putting new ball joits on it all the way around. Well the upper ones went on with no problem but the lower were a different story. I can get all the bolts free and hammer the ball joint loose, but I cant figure out how to get the ball joint out of the hole. It seem that the large threaded stud part is too long to clear the CV joint in order to get it out. If any one could help me with this problem I would really appriciate it. Thanks. Wic

the first thing you need to do is get the axle out of the way, to do this unbolt the top ball and let the hub fall front. then witht he nut removed pull the axle out of the hub and tie it up out of the way. if you need to bolt the the hub back up to the top ball to hold it, then hammer all you want to pop the lower off.
