Default brake lights

I have a 99 Maxima. All rear lights work except the brake lights. None of the brake lights work when the pedal is pressed. I have checked the bulbs and they seem fine. Does anyone have a solution about what I should check?

Brake switch? did you check for power and ground at the sockets?

+1 .... it's either gonna be the brake switch or the little rubber piece on the back of the pedal that hits the brake switch.

Another probable cause could be loose sockets,In my case my nissan lights specifically the tail lights always suffer from that. cause I think a have a leak from somewhere causing my sockets to get coroded therefor loosing connection
