Default Check Engine Light

Hopefully someone can help me out here. Yesterday evening, as I made a right turn, the engine of my 2006 Nissan Altima killed and my check engine light came on. When I tried to start it back up, the engine turned over a few times before starting roughly. I got the car back home and tried it again this morning and the engine started right up when it was cold, but of course the check engine light is still on. Any ideas on what could be wrong? Naturally it'll be several days before I can get it to the dealership.

Is on Automatic or manual? The engine might over used good thing you act fast, always put water before it heat to much that way it would cool and prevent over heat.

Get a servicing of your engine and also check the engine oils is okay or not.
