Helping a neighbor swap in an '87 4 cycl into an '84 mini truck. 87 came out of same model truck but was FI engine and 4wd. Swapped the intakes and oil pans. engine in vehicle and turns over under key. Problem is the distributos are different and are not a direct swap. How can I make the 87 distrib interface with the 84 wiring harness so I have spark at the plugs? Loom swap? Loom patch? Cut and splice 87 & 84 distrib wires? Suggestions? Much appreciated, neighbor is a new dad, 3 days and has NO Money and needs the vechicle up and running. Thanks, Brad

 

That would be hard,since he has no money for now... try to Cut and splice 87 and 85 dis wires... that sound easy but I know its hard to do.
