Default fan only blows on high

Hi: hoping someone here can help me figure out why when i put the a/c on in my sentra it will only blow if it is on the highest fan setting :: if i lower the fan speed the a/c stays on but barely any air comes out of the vents.

thanks in advance for any help.

Hi...I had this problem on one of my past vehicles and found out that it was the blower switch itself that was not making a complete contact on itself..

Chek with you dealer and see if this answer might be on focus.

it was the blower switch itself
thats the first thing to check, then maybe the blower itself.

Hi Carol. That exact situation happened to my 94 Altima. I took it to the mechanice and he replaced the 'switch' I'm sorry I don't know the correct terminology but the part was $40. He installed it and it works on all speeds...

My Pathfinder has the same problem. Replaced the switch and still only works on high. I've bben told there is a resistor pack near the blower motor but I can't find it. Anybody know where it might be on a 03 Pathfinder?

your blower motor is under the passenger side of the dash and the resistor should be in that area it almost looks like a relay, you might have to take off the glove box to to gain access to the resistor.
