Intermittent starts
Hello to everyone,
I have a Nissan Primera Saloon year 2000. It had two previous owners and I have had it around 10 months now. Apart from a temporary blip when I first purchased it with the crank sensor cutting the car out whilst driving, and the garage repaired this. Apparently it was diagnosed as an issue linking it with the catalyst converter which was replaced. The car has since run perfectly. It has done less than 60,000 mile.
Recently I have noticed that on the odd occasions which have become more frequent, when trying to start the car first time it won't start at all. It always starts second time around. All the lights on the dashboard come on when I try to start the car, then it starts straight away when I try again.
I wondered if it could be down to the battery or electrics.
As i'm not knowlegeable on cars I wondered if any of you guys had come across this before.
Many thanks for any help,
Jeff
