My 2003 Nissan Navara is Over-revving. When I start the engine, it remains at normal revs for about 20 seconds then something kicks in and makes it rev to almost 2000 rpm constantly!

My normal garage sayd that I will have to go to my local (well expensice) nissan garage to go on their diagnostic machine.

Has anyone had this problem with their Navara, and how was it solved.

i dont think that would be a bad idea since your vehicle is still fairly new.
