Nissan OBD II Scan Protocol?

Help! Any body on board here with a scanner/reader?
What Protocol is used by Nissan 2006/2007/2008?
I have a "Car Chip" Model EX 8220 that reads my late
model GM vehicles and also reads late BMW.
It is not able to read CAN protocol.
I have tried to get reads from my 2008 3.5L Coupe
but no sucess. Any body got the answer?

do you have a code now, or do you just want to keep track of it? I'm not sure about the "protocol", but most good code readers made in the last couple of years should do just fine.

My 'need' is just to know what is happening with
the power plant! No codes are thrown and I hope
that wont happen for a good while yet! Only 500 miles
on this sweet car. I am obssesive/compulsive when it
comes to attention to my rides.[8D]

Oh, so you want to take a look at data monitor. Nissan is very particular about who they let have that info. They usually only let madatory specs open for publicviewing with aftermarket scanners. Good luck.

A Motis will work with the appropriate software and the Nissan Consult....... others I am not sure of other than that the new snap on scan tool will erase codes, but thats the limit.
