Nissan Sentra

I have a 2006 nissan sentra with 1.8 engine , car has 100.000 on it runs good previous owner seems to have took good care of the car . I dont have any maintance records on the car . Transmission fluid in the transmission looks clean . I think the transmission should be flushed and the filter changed . My buddy tells me not to , he said the transmission will go out said this had happened to him on previous cars . What do you guys think ?

Best bet might be to drop the tranny pan and see what's inside. I've been told by transmission guys if the Tranny has a lot of miles and never been flushed, flushing it can loosen medal or material causing more damage. I would think that if there is a little bit of medal inside flushing would be ok.
