Oil Pressure on 350Z

Has anyone ever experienced an Oil Pressure issue on a 350Z? I have a 2003 and the oil light is flickering, which the manual says is not related to low oil levels. I'm curious what may have caused this for others before I call the dealer. Thanks.

how many miles are on the car? you say that the manual says that it is NOT related to oil level...do you have any aftermarket items on it, such as forced induction? it could be something as simple as a bad sending unit.

No after market add-ons and I have less than 12,500 miles on it so far. The manual paints a real gloomy picture: "pull off the road in a safe place and shut off the engine immediately!" type of stuff. I wish it had been that easy.

i would check the oil levels just to be safe..and call the dealership.

Do not, I repeat, do not start that engine. Call the dealership and have them come pick it up with a wrecker and let them deal with it while it is under warranty.

i agree with soaring, if you have warrenty, let them fix it. have them tell you what was wrong and then learn from it.
