rough idle ,stalling in park

My son has a 2002 Maxima. Engine is idleing a little rough in park and stalls .
Will drive but stalls when you stop at light. Told to replace Mass Air Flow Sensor to fix the problem.Does that sound right. Please help ,frustrated.
