I accept with Nitrous 411 & FAQs
Nitrous Oxide is an efficient means of getting more oxygen into the combustion chamber. Initially the N2O injection will cool the incoming charge due to the energy expended on vaporization into the air fuel mixture. However, do to the dramatic increase in power output, the sustained use of N2O increases cylinder temperatures to the point you may require a spark plug one or two heat ranges colder. If the nitrous is used only for very short bursts, (less than 10 seconds), then the standard plug can likely be used with no spark plug heat change necessary. |

Spark Plug Technical Info
Ive removed the plug wire from the cap, and held the end about a half inch away from the distributor contact.Removed the wire from the plug and held about half inch away from the spark plug, or engine block. And removed the plug from the head, and had the wire connected to the distributor and the plug...and held the plug about a half inch away from the block. But never removed the plug wire from the cap and held the end a half inch away from the body of the car as mentioned in the TSRM.

Spark Plug Technical Info
First off, my plans were to run a C.O.P system. I bought the plate and got some intrepid C.O.P with pigtails and ready to wire them up. Without the CDI box, I dont think it would be a good idea. Im having second thoughts on the C.O.P system.
Now onto spark plug wires. Ive read some bad reviews on some spark plug wires and good reviews on others. My goal is to hit at least 400hp for now with my setupbuilt bottem, 280 cams, 50 trim, 1600cc, 25psi, etc... and my future plans is to hit 700 which wont be for years. Ive read stock ignitions are good already so will OEM spark plug wires do me good? What would you recommend? Thanks. |
