Turn indicator lights

Turn indicator lights
The fuse has blown on the turn indicator lights on my Nissan Serena. When I replace the fuse, it works for a wee while before it blows again. I've looked at all the lights and none of the bulbs are blown. I've cleaned them and made sure the connections are dry. I'm hopeless at electrics. Does anybody know what to check next?

RE: Turn indicator lights
Well, if your fuse is blowing but not right away you must have an intermittent short somewhere. Did anything happened/been done to the car that might have started this happening? Accident; stereo installation; etc? If so, look there for wiring problems.
Things to check: Look for any loose/frayed wires under the dash and around the turn signal switch, lights, etc. Check any wiring jobs you know of. (note: If the car has an add on stereo or anything else electrical, look there real close. Check for any loose connections, frayed wires, etc. If you can't find anything wrong with the wiring anywhere we may have to assume your turn signal switch has gone bad and you'll need to check that out.
Hope that helps,
Brad
