Urgent nissan elgrand problem

I have a nissan elgrand 3.0 4WD diesel
2000 reg

it ran out of diesel last week and I filled it back up with diesel
but we could not get it started

AA couldn't get it started
The local garage could not get it started

Then we took it to the place where I bought it
and they also have not been able to get it restarted
They have called Japan but still no joy

Does anyone have any ideas if there is such a thing as a cut off switch which
would protect the fuel pump or engine or anything like that

are you sure you field it with diesel? it should start...
