Xm radio signal fails
 

I have a 2004 quest. I installed the Nissan XM radio as it was prewired and ready. I did install it with a Terk micro antenna as opposed to the Nissan antenna. Anyway, periodically the signal will just drop and the car acts like it doesn't know it has the XM radio unil I turn it off and restart it (almost like having to reboot it). Any ideas about the cause or a potential solution?
