04 ARMADA, CAN'T REMOVE THE KEY

I cannot remove the key from the ignition in my 04 Armada. The truck is definitely in park, I have tried moving the steering wheel back and forth and also pushing the key in to try and turn it to the lock position so I can remove it, all to no avail. Additionally when I turn it to on nothing happens.
