05 Frontier Service Engine Light / Fuel Gauge
Hey,
Just picked up my first Nissan. Truck is very clean, with just under 110,000 miles. After driving it for less than 200 miles, the Service Engine Soon light came on. I went to autozone to see what the issue was, and it showed the fuel sending unit. The truck was running just fine. But I did need to stop and add fuel. I put fuel in it and I noticed the gauge did not move.
On the way home for Autozone, the fuel gauge went down to nothing and the fuel light came on. But again, the truck runs just fine. I started it up this morning to drop it off to the shop to have the mechanic replace the fuel sending unit. The gauge read empty, the fuel empty light was still on, but I noticed the Service Engine Soon light was NOT on. It was over 8 miles to drop it off and the truck is still running great.
I don't want to change out the sending unit in the tank, if it is just some sensor or something. Anyone seen something like this before?
Thanks
