1978 280Z Fuel Tank
 

Good Morning,

I am the original owner of a 1978 280 Z. I am in need of a replacement fuel tank. The original has problems of rust about 1/4 of the way up the tank and my mechanic says the fuel pick up probably has holes. Runs fine as long as I keep it above half full. My mechanic says I need a replacement fuel tank and he can't locate one from his usual suppliers. Any help you can give helping me locate a replacement fuel tank for a 1978 280Z would be appreciated.

i would check with salvage yards, specifically ones that deal with import models, should you live outside of the US

if you cant find one, a fuel cell might be an option.
