Back with the Maxima!!

Been a proud owner of a 03 Maxima 3.5L for a few months. Had a 86 200SX years ago. That was a fun car, now i need a four door.. This is perfect. and it has the power.

Here's my problem. It's a 6 spd with 93k. Engine is sound. But i have a hard time getting it into 1st and Rev, with the clutch on the floor. The other gears a little bit, but not much. From stop..Cold or hot. And there are times when it goes into gear without any trouble. Noslippage yet from the clutch.Any help about this trans?
