Default Disabled Alarm

Okay.. so I am new and thought I would post up here for any insight. My wifes 2001 pathfinder was recently broken into. It does not appear that they got much. But a wierd thing has happened. When we observed the area we notice that there was no forced entry into the truck. Additionally we observed that the alarm will not arm any more.

We observed this by lockking the truck via the key fob and then manually unlocking the door . When doing this the alarm did not go off.

Does anyone have any idea how the alarm was disabled and how to enable it again?

well you can disarm is by putting the key in the door and unlocking it will turn it off. i had this problem too with my viper where it would say its locked on the key pad but the doors werent really locked. i wish i could help you, is it still under warrenty? it could be as simple as a loose wire or a bad ground.
