Default Hellloooo!

Hi It's me! Rob.

I own a volvo but it's a guzzler, so I've decided to get something that will hopefully save me money.

I bought a 1996 Nissan Micra 1.0 16v

Unfortunately it's not in very good condition.

I'd say I'm getting about 30 miles per gallon out of it when it should be about 47 according to the Parkers Guide.

On a cold start white smoke bellows from the exhaust and it has no power and stalls, once it's warm the engines as sweet as a nut, no smoke or anything.

I don't know if the waters going down or not so I can't tell whether it's the head gasket or a fueling problem.

At first guess I thought it was some kind of sensor and it was overfueling until it warmed up, but I really can't tell.

Any ideas guys?

Cheers in advance.

Rob.
