Default Help

I have a 2005 nissan maxima. I took the fuel pump out of the vehicle and disconnected the fuel lines to it and took the fuel pump module out of my car, its a intank pump(located inside gas tank)I havent hooked it back up yet cause i was dropping the gas tank on it to clean it out. My ? is this. I want to change my fuel filter in it. The videos i watched online say to take the fuse to the fuel pump out to release the fuel pressure cause of the fuel injection system. Then it says to try and start the car and let it die out and then continue to take out the fuel filter. How do i do all that if my car isnt starting right now? Im basically trouble shooting my fuel system right now to find out why its not starting. Ive already took off the fuel lines from fuel pump and tried starting car to see if it was a fuel pump problem to begin with. Wouldnt that release the fuel pressure in the lines already? If so would i still have to follow the steps ive mentioned above or is it safe to say the pressure has been released already?
