WHats up people new to the whole nissan thing comeing from the dsm world..i just got a 97 240sx..and my first question is there any way of turboing it without doing the engine swap?..and if i have to do an engine swap what engine should i go with..im looking at making anywhere from 230-250 hp

 

Welcome to the wonderful world of Nissan....... SR20det swaps are the most common......if you are only looking to make 230-250 you could also just turbo your KA motor.

 

thanx for the help..now next question turboing the KA motor..am i gonna have to spend like 5000 to turbo the motor?...how hard is it to turbo that motor,how much boost can i push with the stock motor?...just wanna let all you nissan people know that ive always loved the cars...just got sutck with a eclipse..sooo hopefully i can get some pics up soon

 

On stock motor I wouldn't push anything more than 6psi.... as far as pricing, I'm sure one of the turbo'ed KA24 guys can point you in the right direction.

 

and if you want your car to be insane supra killer you can do the rb swaps like mine, but there more $$$ but the SR20DET is the most common easiest swap into a 240sx and still has potential
