Stuck power window..200sx 1997
 

I have a power window that is stuck about one inch from the top. I don't know if its the reg or the motor, everything is dead. Tried to pull it and tapped on the motor but she is caput. Fuses are fine as well. Is there a way to shut the window until I can figure out the problem?

When you pull up on the button, do you hear a faint buzzing sound? Try just having your power and turn your head lights on, then pull up on the window button, does your headlight dim? If it does, then your window motor is fine and I think something might be jammed within the window/glass assembly. I had similar problem with my car when some jackass broke my window and Nissan screwed up in replacing it. The problem with mine was the glass was not secured properly, so I opened up the panel and found that the screws were not tight. When I realigned it and tightened the screw, it worked fine. Hope it helps.
