93 300ZX Twin Turbo
this guy i'm doing refrigeration repair for is; in return, holding a 93 300ZX Twin Turbo 5speed for me. he told me i can either pay for it in full, or in payments. the car has a blown valve due to timing 120 degrees out of phase, so there's no motor and the car has been sitting for about 1yr. i thought of buying the car and doing the motor myself; not the rebuilding but replacing is what i was getting at, so i know what has been done. mostly everyone who tries to sell you a car will say anything to get rid of it. it belonged to his daughter who is tired of having a 2 seater car. he wants to sell me the car for around 8k's. myself, i think thats wwwwaaaaaaayyyyyyy too much for that, especially since it's been sitting that long, the tranny could be bad now. what do you guys think i should do? the motor, should i rebuild or buy a used JDM motor? money is an issue just to remind you guys, hopefully not for long. thanx for reading, this long thread. it's easier for you to read it than me typing it.
