Auto Gearbox 300zx
 

Hi I`ve got some gear change problems,whenever I wash the car or drive in the rain the change is very rough or none at all.
Some times it takes for ever to change,some times it changes at 6000rpm from 1st to 2nd, but if i drive hard the gear changes are good.
I`ve changed to a bigger battery as that i thought that the voltage is to low,some one told me to change the gearbox`s valve , which i cant find.
Any advice will be appreciated.

Look at throttle position sensor on the driver side of the throttle body . I had this problem also and a friend told me to check it. The screws holding it were loose making the sensor sit in a diagonal angle.I made it parallel to the throttled body and tightened it back up and it shifts like new. I thought the trans was bad and was about to purchase one on ebay when the guy I was buying it from told me to check the TPS.Hope this helps.
