Exclamation Engine/Trans swap into a 87 N/A

I want to turn my 87 N/A into a Honda killer so I was thinking that the VG30DETT would be the perfect fit. I found a website that sells them and the price is $1900 for the motor, trans and ECM. My 87 is an automatic and I have no problem with the amount of time it would take to convert it into a manual but I don't know the extent of the labor involved and was wondering if any one had any insights on it or if it would be more cost effective to just buy an already manual 300zx and swap it into that.

most shops that i have seen charge around $80 dollars an hour and i can find the trannys stock used or rebuilt for like $500 at lowest so the total may be more than the cost of an 87 but why would you want 2 87 z,s??

I found a used tranny for 91 dollars from a junkyard with 120XXX mi. and now from what I hear it would be more worth while to just buy an 87 turbo block and use that. But I want to convert it from manual to automatic regardless and I wasn't looking to go to any shops to get the work done. It is a project car and I got nothing but time.

the price of $1900 upgrade would cost you much..ask some more local shops for a lower price..like what I did with my Exhaust System last week..
