Default speaker locations in '93 300ZX convertible

I'm hoping I can put a 5.1 surrond sound music system in my convertible 300ZX. The coupes have places for rear speakers, but my understanding has always been that the factory convertibleshad only front speakers.

One stereo installer told mehe thought there were places for rear speakers to beinstalled even in the convertibles. Not only that, hesaidthere was also a mounting location inside the center consol, under the factory stereo DIN, where a center channel speaker could go. Does anyone know if this is true?
