I have a 1990 300zx it will shift fine then as soon as you get in 4th and let off the gas it will drop back into 3rd whats wrong IT IS AN AUTOMATIC

maybe its not design to get to 4th while letting the gas off...it can only stick to 3rd for safety purpose.
