Nissan 350Z / Fairlady The Z stood for the top line and Japanese performance in the 70s and 80s, and it has been nicely rekindled with this newest entry into the Z family.

Default 350z intake/exhaust

Hey! I’m looking to add few ponies to my 350z. I’m looking at the Injen SES Straight Tip Exhaust System and JWT Pop Charger. JWT Pop Charger’s got great reviews about the way it sounds and its output. What do you think about newly introduced Fujita 350z Short Ram Intake System? Has anyone installed Fujita Short Ram on his/her car? How does it perform? Also, I know that an aftermarket intake has an affect on the car’s manufacturer warrantee. How about an aftermarket exhaust or a short shifter?

The nismo exhaust shouldn't affect your warranty.

Nismo does not void your warranty. For a dealer to deny your warrany clain they have to prove that the cause of failure was the part in question. Dealers have told me this several times. And Nismo has 12 mo/12k mi warranty in itself. I have it and have been to the dealer several time in several states, no prob, they love it actually

very true about the warrenty only if they can prove the part is waht caused problem. lets say if you have the nismo cold air intake and you hydro lock your motor they can use that to cash you up instead of using a warrenty. nismo warrenty is 12 and 12 is a part warrenty only

so in part you have to stay stock unitl your waranty runs out or take the risk with nismo???? i mean they have nismo packages you can add to the car when you build ur car through the dealership... or is that only covered because the factory is installing it??

ANYTHING factory installed will be covered by the dealer.

You don't have to stay stock. It became a law that you can add BOLT ONs to your car and it should not void your warranty unless the dealer can prove it was the BOLT ONs fault your car messed up. As long as you don't cut or weld, youre fine.

The 350Z comes emission tuned to the max from the factory. almost any mod added the ECU will compensate for. the best bang for the buck the ECU doesnt compensate for is less restrictive performance CATS. CATS cost around $100, on e-bay. if you dont want to pay around $300, for your ECU reflash from JETCHIP (works great!!!!!!). This CAT upgrade works better than NISMO HEADERS, and better than A NISMO EXHAUST.

It's the same with Nissan as it is with a lot of other Car Makers. It depends on the Dealership. Some will say no if you have something as small as a K&N filter on your car and some won't.
