2003 2.5S has P0507 Idle Control System RPM Higher Than Expected
I've seen the instructions for the idle relearn for a 2002, and not knowing anything more than the absolute basics about cars (changing oil, brakes, and rotors) I'm not sure if those instructions would work at all on my manual 5 speed 2003 Altima 2.5S
If someone could be so kind as to either inform me if this would also function on a 2003, and any other possible troubleshooting tips on how to figure out what's causing this issue...I'd hate to go to the dealer and have them perform a function that I could do at no or low cost...

Idle control problems with the 2.5's is caused by the idle air control valve that is attached to the throttle body........you will need a new throttle body and have the dealer reprogram the idle, it is not something you can do yourself.

by the way, i'm not sure if it's a good idea to base your 2003reparations on a 2002 guide. nissan changed models between those two years. under the hood it's very different...
