'94 Nissan Altima accelerator cable sticking
Hello, I'm new so if I'm in the wrong place plz tell me
Anyway, I have a 94 Nissan Altima that's been running fine, but about two months ago while I was driving the acceleration was suddenly stuck. I was able to slow down and fortunately I was within a block of my house so I was able to park it. I called my mechanic the next morning and was about to have the car towed to his garage when I started the car and she was fine! The mechanic looked all around and said it might be my accelerator belt, but he couldn't guarantee anything because he didn't see a problem. Well, it happened again and he was able to confirm that it was the accelerator belt. It's been sticking on the linkage. To keep it loose I've been putting lubricant on it but it didn't seem to help as the car has done it multiple times now. Is it time to get a new one?
