The fuse box has three vertical fuses as circled in the first picture on the top. The fuse box diagramprovided on the cover of the fuse box doesn't describe anything about these three fuses, neither does the Factory Service Manual. Could anybody please tell me what they are for?

 

The reason they are not listed on the fusebox cover is that they don't fuse up anything. They are just slots for holding spare fuses for when one burns out. Notice how there's one of each color/rating? You can confirm this by removing one and you will see there are no metal contacts inside.

yes, so they can confuse you lol, there just spares plus you can tell just by looking under them and seeing no pins for a harness to connect to, there just blanks.

 

Well, the slots are blanks. The fuses are real fuses that work for when you blow one. I knew what you meant but it's just to make sure no one else confuses that.

 

Thanks to all you guys for the replies. They are indeed spare fuses. Used up one of them to replace a blown fuse.

Is there a fuse box under the hood of a 2003 Nissan Altima? If so which spot controls Cigarette Lighter Adapter?

 

It easy very easier to see and find the fusebox if it wii be in the vertical direction. If in future we need to change and some technical problem happen so we can easily find out and repair it.

 

Sorry its totally a technical question.and I'm not that much expert in this so its better to go and meet and tech guy he will definitely help you.But I will surely try to find it out.
