I have a 97 Altima and just recently the RPM has been to high for the speed I am goin. It will hover around 3,000 RPM's at 60 mph when it should be a hover around 2,000 RPM's and so forth. Can someone please tell what could be the possible problem.

 

Idle Air Control Valves go bad on those cars all the time....... could be your problem.
